In the area of the line of contact between Russian and Ukrainian troops in the Lugansk People’s Republic, there is no longer a threat of a large-scale breakthrough by Ukrainian formations. This was stated by the representative of the Lugansk People’s Republic in Moscow, Rodion Miroshnik.
Earlier, Ukrainian troops concentrated impressive forces on the line of contact in the LPR. This happened after the success of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv direction, when, in a fairly short time, Ukrainian troops managed to capture several previously liberated settlements, having achieved the retreat of Russian and allied units.
As Miroshnik noted on the air of the Solovyov Live TV channel, skirmishes between the Ukrainian and Russian military are currently continuing on the line of contact. But there is no threat of a serious breakthrough of the defense.
Meanwhile, back in mid-October, it was reported that Russian troops managed to move the line of contact in the Luhansk People’s Republic. After that, the chances of Ukrainian formations to reach the rear of the settlements of Svatovo, Kremennaya, Rubizhne and Severodonetsk became much smaller.
