The Corporate World Prepares For America Without Roe V. Wade

Some corporations will cover employees’ abortion costs. At least one company is taking the opposite approach.

The fallout from the Supreme Court’s ruling overturning Roe v. Wade has not slowed down yet. The nation is now working through the transition into a post-Roe landscape, and it appears to be touching several parts of American society, including the corporate world. For example, several major companies announced they would cover the costs for employees residing in states with strict abortion laws if they seek the procedure. But at least one company is taking the opposite approach. This raises a question: How might this impact the overall landscape of corporate America?

Buffer Insurance, a Texas-based insurance company, declared it would pay the medical costs for employees who choose to give birth to their children instead of aborting them.
