A new health study that received backing from the World Health Organization (WHO), and a number of other reputable health bodies in Europe, claim that a number of ultra-processed foods have little to no effect on oneâs health, and in some cases can supposedly be actually healthy; but things such as meat-based foods are seen as unhealthy.
Published in the reputable journal The Lancet, the study titled âConsumption of ultra-processed foods and risk of multimorbidity of cancer and cardiometabolic diseases: a multinational cohort studyâ â concluded that while some ultra-processed that are meat-based and sugary sodas are bad and can lead to a host of health issues like cancer, other highly-processed foods such as breads and cereals asserts are actually beneficial.
The study included â266,666 participants (60% women) free of cancer, cardiovascular disease, and type 2 diabetes at recruitment from seven European countries in the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC) study,â the authors of the study explained.
