Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden ran a heavily edited campaign ad after Tuesday night’s presidential debate that may cost him more than the fee paid to air the spot.
The ad capitalized on a wholly dishonest assessment by the candidate and his allies in the media that President Trump refused to condemn white supremacy — included in the deceptive ad was a photograph of Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old who killed two protesters attacking him in Kenosha, Wisc., and wounding a third.
Lin Wood, the attorney representing Rittenhouse took to social media Wednesday morning to announce a lawsuit has been filed.
“In addition to suing Facebook for being falsely accused of being mass murderer, Kyle Rittenhouse has defamation claim against Joe Biden for falsely accusing him of being white supremacist & militia member responsible for violence in Kenosha,” the attorney tweeted. “Candidate Biden = Defendant Biden.”

Rittenhouse is facing a litany of charges, to include first-degree intentional homicide and first-degree reckless homicide.
Wood also represented Nick Sandmann, the Kentucky high school student maligned by the media after an incident in Washington, D.C., with a native American activist.
Sandmann sued CNN for $275 million, and the network recently settled the libel suit for an undisclosed amount.
In the Biden ad, an exchange with Fox News moderator Chris Wallace is featured.
“Are you willing tonight to condemn white supremacists and militia group and to say that they need to stand down and not add to the violence in a number of these cities as we saw in Kenosha and as we’ve seen in Portland,” he asked Trump.
Even though the president said on two occasions that he would, when he did not say precisely what Wallace asked him to say, the corrupt liberal media ran with the false narrative thathe “refused” to condemn the hate groups.
A montage of clips and photos were shown in the ad, showing scenes from the right-wing rally held three years ago in Charlottesville. An image of Rittenhouse holding a rifle while on the ground in Kenosha as also included.
That so much attention has been paid to white supremacy — while Antifa and Black Lives Matter rioters destroy American cities, burning and looting at will — tells you how the debate went for Biden.
Wood followed up on his initial tweet with a second entry, announcing that a formal demand was forthcoming calling on the Biden campaign and the candidate to retract the “false accusation.”
“Formal demand for public retraction is being prepared for Biden/Harris Campaign on behalf of Kyle Rittenhouse,” the lawyer tweeted. I also hereby demand that [Biden] immediately retract his false accusation that Kyle is a white supremacist & militia member responsible for violence in Kenosha.”
Not that Wood needed it, but he had plenty of encouragement from social media users.
