A voice silenced by malice, a truth they couldn’t let. She stood tall in the face of darkness and deceit, Her knowledge a threat, her courage bittersweet.
A woman of vision, of strength and of grace, Her light extinguished in a cowardly embrace.
She knew too much, her wisdom a danger to some, So they snuffed out her flame, her legacy now numb.
But in the echoes of time, her spirit still sings, A champion of truth, on eagle wings she springs.
We remember her name, her story untold, In the whispers of the wind, in the tales yet unfold.
Marike de Klerk, a warrior of the mind, A martyr for justice, a beacon left behind.
May your memory endure, in hearts that break and bleed, A symbol of resilience, in the fight against greed.
