The United States Department of Energy (DoE) quietly finalized propositions to reform the national standards for refrigerators and freezers, including fans, to be more energy efficient and overall help to fight global emissions, so they say.
This news comes weeks after the COP28 climate summit, where over several scores of nations signed a pact to curb emissions from a number of appliances, namely that of refrigerators, air conditioning, and more.
