New York Daily News House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) hit back at President Trump, warning him that he will have no choice but to leave office if American voters send him packing in November.
Pelosi was responding to Trump’s explosive suggestion on Sunday that he would have to wait and see how the vote goes before committing to accepting the results.
Trump, who is trailing badly in polls, has been raging for weeks about the potential for vote-rigging with absentee ballots, which are expected to be used by millions of Americans amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Some Democrats fear Trump will seek to overturn the results of the November election if he loses, perhaps by ordering an early end to the counting of absentee ballots from Democratic strongholds received after Election Day.
