A two-time war veteran was videotaped entering an Irving Oil restaurant on Remembrance Day in an unidentified location in Canada and asking to be seated.
Remembrance Day is a holiday in Canada that commemorates the sacrifices of people in all armed conflicts.
The hostesses in the video can be seen asking for the veteranâs identification and vaccination certificate. When he refused to provide them with his medical information, he was denied service.
The veteran walks away from the stand as he explains his situation to the person filming him. âA two-time war vet canât come into this restaurant and have a meal. Sorry, Iâm unvaccinated. Iâm a two-time war veteran, and I canât sit down and eat in this restaurantâand eat a meal with these people who are basically sitting on top of each other, having a great meal.â
You’d think a soldier would understand about “just following orders”. That was a total set-up. This guy knew exactly the reaction he was going to get at the restaurant because it is well known in that area that all restaurants require proof of vaccination in order to eat at a table. Without vaccination, take-out is the only option. It’s not the restaurant’s policy, it is the provincial policy. All restaurants would have had the same message for this guy, which is why he knew he would get this response.
This is a publicity stunt to try to gain 2 minutes of fame and build some social media followers, and publications like this one are falling for it. It’s not a heartbreaking scene, it is a complete set up.
If the guy doesn’t agree with vaccinations being required in order to sit at a table, then his beef is with the government imposing those requirements, not the teenage workers getting paid minimum wage that are asked to enforce it. He’s beating up on a Private because he doesn’t like the orders from the General. He, of all people, should get that.
