New York Post A retired, decorated US Air Force general from Pennsylvania has been busted on 15 child pornography possession counts, prosecutors announced Wednesday.
Former Brig. Gen. Frank Sullivan was charged after a search of computers in his Mechanicsburg home revealed thousands of searches for “preteen” images, as well as photos of children “engaged in very graphic sexual acts,” the state’s attorney general Josh Shapiro said in a statement.
Investigators also discovered images of child porn on a home desktop and laptop.
Sullivan — the former executive director of the Pennsylvania Military Community Enhancement Commission, who also served in Iraq and Afghanistan — faces 15 second-degree felony counts for sexual abuse of children and one count of criminal use of a communication facility, Shapiro said.
“General Sullivan’s alleged actions disgrace his work and besmirch the Pennsylvania National Guard, an organization that has bravely and dutifully come to the aid of Pennsylvanians whenever they have been called,” Shapiro said in the statement. “I’ve said it time and time again—nobody is above the law. My Office will investigate and prosecute anyone who harms Pennsylvanians, no matter what positions of power they may hold.”
Agents first learned of Sullivan’s alleged actions during an investigation on a file-sharing network, Shapiro said.
“No one is above the law”? Whenever I hear that phrase alarm bells go off. So, tell me, was this General a Republican or Democrat? We all know how easy it is for such “evidence” to be planted given the fact that such agencies as the NSA have complete access to anyone’s computer. Just thinking….
