The gunman is believed to have a connection to Old National Bank, where the shooting took place, said Deputy Chief Humphrey at the start of the press briefing.
“We’re trying to establish what that connection was, but it appears he was a previous employee,” Humphrey said, adding that the investigation was ongoing.
When asked by reporters later, Humphrey clarified that it was unclear whether the shooter was a current or former employee.
