Gov Kate Brown of Oregon refuses to condemn antifa for the violence in Portland, but that is to be expected. Democrats supported the riots because they truly thought it would hurt Trump.
They were wrong and it’s backfiring bigly as Biden and other Democrats find themselves sinking in the polls. People are no longer amused by the destruction of property caused by antifa and BLM.
Brown claims that her focus is on eliminating racism. So, that means protecting lives and property comes in no better than second. Silence is violence. That is certainly true in Portland. Brown’s silence along with Ted Wheeler’s is the cause of antifa violence. Portland has just passed 100 straight days of riots. And there is no end in sight.
Brown said:
“So the first question is why did I specifically hold out white supremacist organizations? Because my goal, my vision for a future Oregon is to build a better Oregon where everyone can thrive and that means eradicating racism. And so my understanding of these organizations is they’re based on hate and I think it makes it really difficult for us to build what Dr. King would call a beloved community.”
Brown did find time to blame the violence on “armed white supremacists.” But how many buildings have they burned? What is the number of stores they have looted? And just how many cold-blooded murders have they committed? As far as I know those are what antifa does. Gov Brown is just showing where her allegiance lies not with the citizens but with the rioters.
She was given several opportunities to condemn antifa but she refused to do it.
Brown said :
“We will continue to work with the community to make sure that folks understand that our goal here is to stop the violence directed toward property, to stop the arson, and obviously stop the person-to-person violence that’s happening, yes.”
Name one thing she has done to stop the arson, looting and assaults. You can’t. Because there aren’t any. She didn’t even want federal agents to protect federal buildings. Brown refused to allow the National Guard into the city to protect it’s inhabitants. She has acted so poorly that police departments are unwilling to help out in Portland where police are assaulted constantly without consequences.
Brown added:
(She would) “not allow Patriot Prayer and armed white supremacists to bring more bloodshed to our streets.”
“Time and again, from Charlottesville to Kenosha to Portland, we have seen the tragic outcome when armed right-wing vigilantes take matters into their own hands. Gun violence is never, ever the answer.”
What a crock of crap. I would like to remind Her Ignorance that it is antifa who are attacking the Patriot Prayer group. In just the last week one antifa member gunned down a Patriot Prayer member in cold blood……with a gun. And a second ran over another member on purpose with his pick up truck. Not the other way around.
